New School elctronica influenced 3 man Rap crew, with roots in the Durban underground as far back as original 031 Hip Hop pioneers Illuminating Shadows, and a sound that spans the sonic spectrum from contemporary dubstep to mid-90s boom bap to the eternal groove of drum and bass.

The first crew to record a demo release throught the prestigious Redbull Studios Cape Town (2008), these three homigos have kept the collective fire burning and are proud to announce the imminent release of their first self-titled full length album, due for audience appreciation as of March 2010.

One part Spoken Word slash Rap slash Freestyle frontman (CREAMY EWOK BAGGENDS), one part electro flavoured Wu-Tang loving original and authentic beat production and performance (Liam Magner a.k.a. VERANDA-PANDA), and one part live guitar slash synthesiser slash two step hype vocalist (Jacobus Van Heerden a.k.a. BENSON 3000) making up a complete trio of live performers determined to dominate the dancefloor with a serious set and a cheeky attitude.

No strangers to the stage or the studio the trio collectively hold 5 Durban Theatre Awards for their various professional appearances on the theatrical stage, and their studio reputation includes two albums and an E.P. (Ewoks solo release "HIGHER FLYER FOR HIRE" in 2007, Benson and Pandas group THE NEON ANTHEMS 2006 release, and the Illuminating Shadows E.P. featuring Ewok in 2009) garnering them enough support and cred to have them appear at three national festivals already in their short time together (Splashy Fen 2008; Rocking The Daisies 2009; Earthdance 2009).

Together with a publication of his Spoken Word text ("Word: Customized Hype" Echoing Green Press 2007) frontman EWOK holds both a national SLAM Champion title (Poetry Africa Slam Champion 2006) and two national Freestyle Rap titles (African Hip Hop Indaba 2004; Solo Pro Battle 2006).

The Hip Hop cudos Ewok has earned together with the consistent appearance of VERANDA-PANDA on the Durban underground electronic scene, through the NO!NO!NO!; IheartDURBAN and AMAFullThrottle events, has brought together two solid scenes into one solid sound: SPITMUNKY.

The self-titled debut release from the Poison City crew promises to be an album of loud bouncy beats together with not-a-lotta-nonsense lyrics. Recorded through the Redbull Studios Cape Town and Sonic Studios Durban, mixed down by the deft ear of Cape Audio graduate and Planet Art Studio engineer Mike Sims, the quality of the final product is gauranteed.

The tempo shifts as much as the attitude does. in this short and punchy tribute to the good times and serious rhymes the trio are dedicated to.
