Coco Loco
COCO LOCO
Who would have guessed all those years ago in Richards Bay that the guitarist from a high school rock band would go on to become one of South Africa’s top DJ talents. Coco Loco’s interest in music from an early age lead him to the discovery of House music, a passion that has stayed with him until now. Bitten by the bug eight years ago, he formed a production company ‘High Society’ along with four other mates and set out to bring his hometown up to date with exciting developments in the international dance music scene. Drawing inspiration from DJ superstars such as Danny Tenaglia, Sasha and Deep Dish, he developed an ear for the underground House sound, yet still maintains a healthy love for rock icons such as Hendrix, Pearl Jam and even the harder sounds of System of a Down and Korn. His initial venture into the world of dance saw High Society staging events in exotic locations such as a crocodile farm, a fishing cabin and even a floating restaurant.

Agent K
AGENT K
It all started in 1996 when he was just 16. The ever-growing “Rave scene” in S.A was becoming a force to be reckoned with, with hard house and Trance dominating the main arenas. Having gone to a couple of these Raves, Karl became increasingly interested in what was to change his life forever.

During his early varsity days, Karl spent a lot of time and money in the local vinyl stores and so began practicing and playing at friends’ house parties and anywhere he could find a pair of turntables. Karl slowly began building up a reputation playing at these house parties and handing out his own DJ mix tapes.
