Ready D aka DJ Explode, is without doubt S.A.’s number one DJ. He won the S.A. DMC Championships four times, and the DJ OF THE DECADE award. He competed twice in the World DJ Championships, and finished in the top ten positions. He is rated in the top thirty Hip Hop DJs in the world.

For six years he was better known as the DJ for P.O.C. He also appeared alongside such groups as Public Enemy, The Fugees, Ice-T and Spearhead.

He enjoys superstar status with a cult-like following all over the country. He is definitely the most exciting DJ in South Africa when performing live.

Apart from performing in clubs READY D took the art of HIP HOP DJing into many areas where it was unknown. He also featured in the following big music events around S.A.:

Ice Fest; Synergy; Camel Experience; Oppikoppi; KKNK Fest (A week long tour, into rural & underprivileged areas, where most of the community does not have electricity).

Also the Woodstock Fest; Alex Groll International Inline Skating Championships; Red Bull Downhill Extreme Champs; Grahams Town Jazz Fest; North Sea Jazz Fest; as well as various trade shows and expos etc.
