2006 started for manuel where 2005 ended, CRAZY ! it saw Manuel Leaving his Long standing job at David Gresham Records to persue his own record label,MORE MUSIC, saw the release of Manuel and Dizzys second and third outings together as the THE HARDYBOYZ, March with volume 2 of the album and september in a ground breaking first ever Hardyboyz DVD, HARDYBOYZ “THE MOVIE” and saw the relocating of Natural Groove to a newer more improved venue. it also saw the end of manuel Playing hard sets Solo to persue holy and soley his Love for Innovative & Progressive House music.Manuel took a lot of flack from the newbie hard dance fans but manuels long standing fans were excited to see him going back to his love, INTELEGENT THOUGHT INVOKING HOUSE MUSIC. Manuels New initiative in this field is Called The Fusion Underground and consists of Manuel and 3 up and coming talents(, Jimmy Cronic, Nic Lumb and Karmi) on the house scene all pushing the new sound of House, Tech/Minimal house. Fushion underground is gaining serious momentum with the brand securing residencies in port Elizabeth @ 52 parliament, south africa’s premire house club, Truth in Johannesburg, and at numerous key events planned over the 2006 summer like the VIP floor at H2O, and this list is growing.
End of 2004 also saw the opening of manuels first ever night club, Natural Groove 9 actually, Sunday day club) the club has over the last 2 years seen some of the worlds top brands and djs play there including, Milk and Sugar, Defected, Space, Brandon Block, Dj Colette, Axwell etc etc etc. 2006 see’s the release of the first Natural groove album Mixed by the very in vogue lady Lea under manuels new record label, More Music. Yes, after 8 years being head of marketing at gresham manuel decided it was time to get out into the market place and help our young up and coming dance producers and djs get to the market place locally and internationally. Another hardyboyz album scheduled for release in October 06 as well as his first house set on disc since perfecto presents manuel Oettl “south Africa” which was in 2003.

2004 started off at the same rate at which 2003 ended, Frenetic, in august Manuel went off to Germany again to play the Transworld 2003 Festival, again alongside the biggest names in Hard dance music. Manuel also realised one of his life long dreams and this was to start his own record label, MPO productions in November last year. He already has 4 artists signed and has had 5 songs to date released on local compilations by top ado’s such as Derek the Bandit who has the only national hard dance radio show in South Africa using 3 songs on one album, the songs were also taken to Midem and were signed by Toco records to act as agent to MPO in getting the record s placed internationally, we have already born fruit, Manuel’s Dj partner, Dizzy wrote a tune called Girlz on Bass which has been signed to a compilation in Mexico. MPO Productions is looking to be a force in international hard dance by year end. The end of last year also saw the coming about of “The Hardyboyz”, this is the fusion of 2 of South Africa’s top dj’s, Dj Manuel Oettl and Dj Dizzy to form a Hard dance one on one team and it has been so well accepted that the first album has already been released by Sheer Music, South Africa’s premier dance label, this dynamic duo have already taken South Africa by storm and were actually formed due to a 2 week tour with the Warp Brothers who suggested to us that we play so similarly that we would be dynamite together, we took their advice and the rest is as they say History. Warp brothers will be back here this year for a Hardyboyz Vs Warp Brothers tour of South Africa. So far from December 2003 Manuel played the RSA Perfecto tour with Paul Oakenfold also played alongside Lee Burridge at Club Truth, his residency, (South Africa’s only super club, 3000 people plus every weekend for the last 3 years) then has just come off tour with OD404, Simon Eve and is about to embark on a full national tour with Ferry Corsten in May and Armin Van Buuren in August.

Between this Manuel and Dizzy are all over the country busy touring the Hardyboyz to great success. Manuel also has his solo project Kiss fm 4 coming out in June 2004which will be supported by a Tour With German house guru’s the Boogie Pimps, Manuel has also been invited by the Boogie pimps to tour gemny with them in October 2004, this will emcompas playing in berlin and at the famous Jou Jou club. Inbetween this manuel will be bring out british house master Tim Deluxe for a 2 date tour to launch off the south African summer in septemeber, Manuel will be supporting tim on both dates.
